Don't Fry Day
Don’t Fry Day is officially designated as the Friday before memorial day. Started by the National Council of Skin Cancer PRevention, Dont Fry day is a day to recognize all the risks associated with skin damage and to spread awareness about sun safety. We encourage schools across the nation every year to partake in this national “holiday” and to educate their students about playing safe in the sun. This year Ka’ōhao School participated by playing fun outdoor games geared around learning sun safe practices. Of course, they made sure every student had access to sunscreen and hats as they played outdoors.
We had a lot of fun and we’re already looking forward to Don’t Fry Day in 2019!
